The show originated as a co-production project between the Ballet Association “Città di Rovigo” and the AlphaZTL Dynamic Art Company, marking a new stage in an artistic journey that began several years ago, where dance develops through themes related to social issues. Love Goes to Hell explores the theme of violence against women, a social priority and cultural problem that has always existed but has only recently found a space for discussion.
The performance consists of three parts: BEYOND BORDERS, set in the fifth canto of Dante’s Inferno, speaks of passionate, infinite love capable of uniting two souls indissolubly, even surviving after death; SICK WITH LOVE draws inspiration from perspectives and testimonies from within the prison system; VIOLA(TA) addresses the difficult reclaiming of one’s dignity.
