The starting point of our investigation is social withdrawal among young adolescents and young adults living in complete or partial isolation known as Hikikomori. The current historical period, characterized by forced isolation to limit the spread of the Sars Covid-19 epidemic, significantly broadens the scope of investigation and reflection on the consequent impact it has had on the most vulnerable individuals. The period of “confinement” has severely tested young adolescents, forcing them to experience loneliness and a nearly exclusively virtual social life. This project aims to explore and understand a complex reality rooted in the critical issues of our time through a non-typically conventional and as multidisciplinary as possible approach. Through dance, music, imagery, and new interactive languages, we seek to provide a human narrative by delving into the stories, lives, and inner worlds of those living this reality and their interpretation of existence and the society surrounding them.
